Library Happenings

The Timber Ridge Elementary Library has wonderful things happening all throughout the year! Check back often to keep updated on the library happenings.

Library Happenings

Book Ledges

The entry way to the library got a little makeover this summer! Miss Lewis built some book ledges to hold forward facing books to display that are always available to checkout.

Graphic Novel Additions

Our TR PTO gave the library a grant of $1,100 to purchase new graphic novels for our collection! This is the smallest of our sections in the library, but is the most popular by far. The kids have been requesting all sorts of new graphic novels and the grant from PTO made that happen. Look at how many wonderful books they have to choose from now! Thank you PTO for providing our kids with these books!

Sign Refresh

A local artist, Doug Applegate, refreshed one of our library section signs from an unused Reference sign that sat in a storage closet (since we don't have a large reference section any longer) to a Graphic Novels sign that sits proudly atop one of our most popular sections of the library. Thank you PTO for funding this beautiful update to the library!

Updating the Library

With an emphasis on digital learning, our library is in need of a child-friendly way of viewing digital material. See the video for our request to the TR PTO for helping us do just that.

PTO approved the request! Check back for photos and an update once all the equipment arrives!
