The Iowa Core Standards lays out the standards for each grade level and subject area.

Curricular Areas
The PBS Learning Media website contains standards-aligned videos and lessons for teachers in multiple curricular areas.
Literacy
Education.com has free and premium access. The free portion of the site allows you access to the learning library of lesson plans that are searchable by grade level or content area.

Newsela is an online literacy resource with access to news articles about high interest current events. This site has recently changed to some of it's service requiring a subscription. Current event articles are still available for educators using a free account.
Reading Rockets is a literacy initiative that provides information from experts, resources, and videos on how kids learn to read and how we can meet their instructional needs.
Read Works has a library of reading passages related to the skill or content you are teaching in a variety of reading levels for all ages and abilities of students.
Teaching Kids News is specifically designed for students and teachers in 2nd-8th grades and provides kid-friendly news articles.
Text Project is a nonprofit that provides classroom resources with teacher guides, professional development, articles, and videos for free.
Tween Tribune from Smithsonian provides daily AP news articles. Each article is provided at a variety of reading (Lexile) levels.
Math
Reflex math provides fact fluency practice for students in 2nd grade and above. PTO provided our subscription for 2019-2020.

Discovery Education Science Elementary contains information and videos on life, physical, and earth sciences.

Mystery Science contains lessons for elementary teachers to teach the NGSS standards.
NASA for Educators has lesson plans, resources, and more available in different age bands.

Social Studies
Ben's Guide to the U.S. Government provides information about the United States government to kids in three different age ranges.
Google Earth allows you to "visit" places all around the world. It is a virtual globe where you can view the earth from space then zoom in to see and learn about places everywhere. Google Earth is also an iPad app.
