Class of 2025 - Graduation Dress Code

Please Read Carefully! GRADUATE dress code will be strictly enforced. A graduate out of dress code WILL NOT be allowed to participate in the ceremony.

Graduation is a dignified ceremony that is symbolic of your passage into the next phase of your life. We must maintain the dignity of the occasion by dressing appropriately. The dress code below WILL be STRICTLY enforced and any graduate that arrives out of the dress code WILL NOT be able to participate in the ceremony unless they correct their attire to meet the following guidelines.

Dress Pants: Black or khaki dress pants (no sweatpants or jeans)
Shirts/Blouses: A collared shirt or blouse in a neutral color (white, black, tan). No t-shirts or casual shirts that are printed or patterned.
Shoes: Black or nude/brown dress shoes. Shoes MUST be dress shoes—no tennis shoes, sandals, or work boots. Open-toed dress shoes are acceptable. Flats, block heels, and wedges are acceptable, but stiletto heels are not permitted.
Dresses: If you choose to wear a dress that WILL show below the length of your robe, the dress must be black. Dresses that the robe fully covers may be any color. Necklines must be modest, and no open backs or spaghetti straps are allowed.
Attire: All attire must adhere to the school dress code, including dress pants, dresses, blouses, and necklines.
Cap and Gown: Please do not forget to bring your Cap and Gown

IMPORTANT:

The cap and gown MUST be worn in the same condition as you received them from Scholastic Images. No decorated caps.
Graduates may not wear sunglasses or unapproved regalia.
Regalia (cords, stoles, and tassel) MUST be received from an approved school organization.
Any items not meeting the requirements outlined above will be confiscated and can be picked up from the front office the Monday after graduation.
You are encouraged to wear and/or practice any traditions you may have before or after the ceremony for pictures, parties, etc.
Security Screening: At Akins Ford Arena, guests are required to undergo a security screening. Metal detectors will be set at each entrance for those who are able to step through them. Alternative screenings will be available for expectant mothers, wheelchair-bound guests, and guests who have other medical conditions which restrict them from using metal detectors. All guests entering the venue must go through security. Guests who refuse will not be allowed to attend the event.
Due to security checkpoints, graduates should not arrive wearing their caps and gowns.
Graduates will be checked in by an assigned faculty member upon arrival.
