JCHS is proud to offer several international travel opportunities to our students each year. International travel can be a milestone experience that builds confidence, nurtures independence, and fosters a "global citizenship" in the spirit of our school's mission.

While JCHS approves of student travel as an important learning experience, travel is not required coursework, and this is not an official school trip. We will work with the school to have absences approved, but otherwise this trip is conducted solely through EF Tours.
Yes. Before deciding if you want to join the trip, it's important to know that the trip is designed so that students can share the experience together, with adults taking more of a behind-the-scenes role to help create that environment. While we will have a 6-to-1 ratio of teacher chaperones, we still look to parents on trips as role models within the larger group, supporting a safe and positive environment that centers on the student experience.
You should also know that all adult travelers are required to complete a background check through a third party. If you are interested, please attend the meeting to learn more.
