This is your chance to join students around the world in showing what you’ve learned and accomplished. Not only is taking IB exams a JCHS expectation for students in IB courses, but it is also a milestone that recognizes your hard work, growth, and commitment to excellence.
Here are a few reasons to be proud and confident as you register:
You can be successful! 80% of JCHS students have passed their exams.
You have already put in the work! All students complete the Internal Assessment during the course, which counts towards your IB exam score. You will have about 25% of your exam done before you even sit down in May.
You can earn college credit! You may save money by earning college credit. You can check here to see which public universities in Georgia offer credit for your exam.
Students taking IB courses in the Fall or Spring will register now. Do not wait to register for your Spring-semester classes.
Juniors: Register only for IB Spanish B, IB Psychology, IB Chemistry, or IB Math AI SL. You will register for your remaining exams next year.
Seniors: Register for all IB exams (Fall or Spring courses) now.
Students must register and pay for their AP and IB Exams in Total Registration.
We strongly recommend that parents and students are both present while registering to ensure that the correct exams are ordered.
Registration is not complete until students receive the option to “print this PDF.”
Course Selection: Please carefully select the correct course, especially for (1) Math HL or Math SL and (2) Spanish ab initio or Spanish B.
Candidacy Status: Please use these designations:
Anticipated: All Juniors
Course: Seniors not taking TOK
Diploma: Seniors taking TOK
Testing Accommodations: Select "yes" if you have a legal document (IEP, 504, IHP) with the school that you use in your IB courses for testing accommodations.
Base exam fee: $130
Late order fee: $45 per exam
Refunds: There are no refunds for IB exams after the fall registration deadline (November 10).
Exams will NOT be ordered until full payment is received.
There may be additional charges for registration mistakes (like registering for the wrong course or level).
Students may qualify for a fee waiver if they are a part of the Federal Free and Reduced Lunch program or are experiencing financial hardship.
Students must apply for an exam fee waiver in Total Registration before the late registration deadline.
Your request will be processed once the registration period ends. Thank you for your patience.
If a student receives a fee waiver from the school but does not take the exam, they will be charged for the exam fee.
STEM Grant: Last year, JCHS applied for a grant that allowed us to reimburse students for one STEM exam. We will apply for the grant again when it is available from the Georgia DOE.
Registration Opens: Sept. 5
Late Registration Begins: November 2
Fall Registration Deadline: November 10
