4th grade

How can we, as creature caretakers, help keep our school animals fed and safe during changes in the environment thoughout the year, and also educate others about how to help and why?

Students engage in the design thinking process as they find ways to solve the problem, “How can we help keep our schoolyard animals fed and safe during changes in the weather throughout the year?” Students will use what they learn during investigative research about weather, seasonal patterns, water cycle and energy needs to create enclosure prototype solutions for each animal and visual and theatrical art presentations and displays (tableau, weather broadcast, agamograph) to teach others about seasonal impacts and ecology.
