Ivy Tech Community College’s Indiana College Core (ICC) prepares students for transfer to the baccalaureate-degree-granting state institution of their choice. If at least 30 credits are accumulated and the ICC requirements are met, it is state-mandated that the entire block of 30 college credits will transfer to any public university in Indiana. This 30-credit hour block of courses is equal to a full year of college coursework. Students who complete the ICC requirements will have met the requirements for the Transfer General Education Core Certificate and will have this noted on their transcript.
Jennings County High School and Ivy Tech Community College partner to offer the following ICC courses through dual credit and Advanced Placement opportunities at JCHS. With the proper course selections and by demonstrating college readiness, a student can complete the entire ICC certificate at JCHS at no cost to the student.
*All Ivy Tech ICC courses offered at Jennings County High School are CTL courses. Please note that dual credit from other institutions, including Advanced Placement credit, may be transferred to Ivy Tech Community College in order to fulfill ICC requirements. At least 15 credit hours of the required 30 must have originated with Ivy Tech Community College to be eligible for the certificate. Please see your Academic Advisor or Ivy Tech representative if you have questions regarding transferring dual credits.
**Courses highlighted in gray represent dual credit offerings through Indiana University Bloomington. Completion of the ICC through Ivy Tech will require transferring these credits to Ivy Tech from IU upon completion.
