Book Information

Book Checkouts

All students are assigned a reading level by their teacher.  Students know this level by colors.  Students who are just beginning to read are on a pink level books.  These students may check out one book at a time.  Students who are reading on any level above pink may check out two books at a time.  

All books should be returned no later than fourteen calendar days after checkout.  Books that are not returned within thirty (30) days will be marked lost and assessed a fine.  Any book that is damaged will also be assessed a fine.  Overdue and fine notices will be sent home with students. ALL FINES REMAIN ON STUDENT ACCOUNTS UNTIL PAID!

Students are responsible for the books they borrow.  If a student loses or damages a book, the student and parents/guardian will be expected to pay for the book in order for the book to be replaced.  Failure to return books, or failure to pay for lost/damaged books WILL result in loss of checkout privileges.  Costs of books vary.

The Media Center will be open daily for checkouts.  Students are allowed to come throughout the day as long as their teacher allows them to do so.
