At JCPS, we strive to increase student vocabulary.  Each year, as part of Read Across America Week, we host a Vocabulary Parade.  What is this, you ask?  

The Vocabulary Parade is a fun way to learn new words!  It is based on Debra Frasier's book Miss Alaineus.   Watch the video to the left to see Debra Frasier read her book!

Similar to the Book Character Parade, students will choose a word to bring to life.  Then, they will design a costume to bring that word to life!  Students must know their word and its definition and have their word displayed as they parade through campus.
