Student scores and grades can be viewed on Infinite Campus.
If you need help logging into your account, please contact Mrs. Foelske at liz.foelske@janesvilleschools.net
Parents are able to get email notifications from Infinite Campus anytime a grade book is updated. If you would like this feature turned on, you can do so in the settings.
Google Classroom Alerts
Most Janesville teachers post assignments to Google Classroom. If parents would like to get notifications from Google Classroom for information such as late assignments and do not already get them, any middle school teacher or Mrs. Foelske can send an invitation for that access. Once you are connected to one Google Classroom for your student, you will be connected to all Google Classrooms in which they are enrolled.

Reassessing
Students will still receive a score for each standard in the gradebook and not an overall class grade. Multiple opportunities to demonstrate understanding of classroom standards will still be provided to students through the process of reassessing. Reassessment practices and initiation may look a little different in each classroom based on the specific needs in the class/subject area. Below you will find a description of how reassessment will be handled for each subject area.
Students will have the opportunity to reassess frequently.
If the original score was a 2.5 or lower, the student must show that they are prepared to reassess by working with the teacher to review or getting a signed note or an e-mail from a parent/guardian, Academic Support Center Teacher, or study hall supervisor. A signature is to ensure students have spent time studying outside of class.
If a student has not reassessed within 2 weeks of the original assessment date, their first assessment score will remain as is in the gradebook.
ELA: Reassessments will be on a scheduled date during class. Students will be notified days in advance and a signature on the score sheet or an e-mail from a parent/guardian or a signature on the score sheet from the classroom teacher, Academic Support Center Teacher, or study hall supervisor will be required to indicate the child spent additional time outside of class preparing for the reassessment. Teachers will also provide individual conferences/check-ins with students to go over material that needs to be reassessed. The signature will indicate the child has spent time preparing independently, or with their teacher, preparing for the reassessment. If students miss the reassessment date or forget a parent signature, it will be their responsibility to schedule a make-up reassessment during a time in ASC and then make the teacher aware of their reassessment make-up.
Math and Social Studies: Reassessments will be on a scheduled date during Wildcat Time. Students will be notified multiple days in advance, and a signature or an e-mail from a parent/guardian or a signature from the classroom teacher, Academic Support Center Teacher, or study hall supervisor will be required on the Request to Reassess stapled to the test to indicate the child spent additional time outside of class preparing for the reassessment. If students miss the reassessment date or forget a signature, it will be their responsibility to schedule a make-up reassessment.
Science: Reassessments will be given on a scheduled date and will happen during class time. Students will be notified multiple days in advance, and a signature or an e-mail from a parent/guardian or a signature from the classroom teacher, Academic Support Center Teacher, or study hall supervisor will be required on the test to indicate the child spent additional time outside of class preparing for the reassessment. If students miss the reassessment date or forget a parent signature, it will be their responsibility to schedule a make-up reassessment, during Academic Support in Room 153 (see weekly announcements for ASC dates/times). Students will need to communicate with Mrs. Friedrich the date they would like to reassess during ASC so she can send the test to Room 153 on the appropriate date.
