Whenever you wear the band uniform you are representing not only the band but the school and community, as well. Never do ANYTHING while in uniform to embarrass or dishonor the group.
1. When we wear the uniform - we wear the whole uniform.
- Do not wear the bibbers (pants) without the jacket.
- Do not appear in public with the jacket unzipped.
- Do not wear the hat backwards, slanted, or in any way except the proper way.
2. Make sure the uniform is fitted properly.
- The pant leg should touch the top of the marching band shoe - but not break the crease of the leg. (Don't let it bunch up and look sloppy)
- Black socks are ALWAYS worn with the marching band shoe. (Completely black socks and shoes)
- The marching band hat should fit so that the visor is pulled down and touches two fingers placed on the bridge of the nose.
3. Always store the uniform correctly.
- When the uniform is not being worn - it is to be on a hanger.
- Hats should be placed in the hat boxes.
- Gloves may be stored in the hat box, as well.
- Make sure to follow the direction arrow when removing and replacing the plume in its storage tube.
- Do not hang shoes with the uniforms on the uniform rack.
4. For rain emergencies - be prepared.
- Have a small plastic bag to cover your plume inside your hat at all times. (glove bags work great)
- Have a larger plastic bag to cover your hat inside your hat at all times. (dry cleaning bags work great)
