Concert Dress

When we perform in public - we, as performers, need to set ourselves apart from our audience. One way we do that is through our concert attire. A general rule is that the performers should be dressed a little bit better than the audience.

High School Band - Informal Concerts (Informal Christmas Concert, March Concert, Showcase Concert, Spring Concert, Graduation)

• Shirts without words (or pictures, or cartoons, or drawings, etc.)
• Pants without holes (no shorts, cutoffs, sweats, or ragged jeans)
• Shoes without poo (or mud, paint, etc.)

Middle School Band - Informal Concerts (Informal Christmas Concert, March Concert, Showcase Concert, Spring Concert, Graduation)

• Shirts without words
• Pants without holes (no shorts, cutoffs, sweats, or ragged jeans)
• Shoes without poo

High School Band - Formal Concerts (Formal Christmas Concert, Concert Festival, Twin Lakes Small Band Clinic Concert, Honor Band Concerts, May Day Concert)

• Black Concert Dress
  • Men - black tuxedo coat and pants, white shirt buttoned all the way up, black bow tie, black shoes and socks
  • Women - Black long skirt, black 3/4 sleeve top, high enough neckline to be modest, black shoes or pumps.

Jazz Band (Jazz Concert, Jazz Festival)

• Blue Jaxco Jazz shirts
• Pants without holes (no shorts, cutoffs, sweats, or ragged jeans)
• Shoes without poo
