Sara Pedroza was born in a small town in central California. Growing up in a close-knit family, Sara developed a passion for learning and discovery at a young age. Her early education was marked by a curiosity for dance and music, leading her to pursue the performing arts. Her high school music teacher was the inspiration for her to pursue music as a profession.
After graduating from high school, Sara moved to Orange County where she pursued a bachelor’s degree in music education with an emphasis in instrumental music from California State University Long Beach. In addition to music, she pursued dance education with a focus on modern dance. After graduating she obtained her teaching credential from CSULB in both dance and music. Currently, Sara is pursuing her master’s degree in science with a focus on educational technology. Fun fact, Sara did her student teaching with Henry Miller at Sierra Vista!
After completing her teaching credential, Sara was hired in the Capistrano school district where she taught a number of subjects at the middle school: orchestra, band, choir, music appreciation and percussion ensemble. Sara has taught a number of other subjects such as color guard, dance, cheerleading and drumline.
Sara has one child, Chloe who just started 6th grade this year. They have two dogs (Ethel and Angel) and a cat named Pepper. Sara enjoys water sports, reading, camping, visiting with family, traveling to other countries and doing crazy things with her hair.
