Fall Still Life Graphite Project

On a 9 X12 paper, practice using graphite .

Your practice should include:

1. 8 step value scale (minimum)

2. A shaded sphere with cast shadow

3. A shaded object drawn from observation

Once you are done, get last minute feedback from MS. Ibrahim. Upload to CANVAS

Project size is 12X16

Start with drawing a few thumbnails sketches in the margins sketches before beginning your artwork.

Tips:

• Increase the contrast in your shadows for a more dramatic look

• Start with lose shapes to get the scale and proportions accurately before you move onto your contour lines

• Step back often to get a better idea of where you need to build value
