Diptych Self-Portrait Project

We will be taking notes on the human head to guide you as you draw and shade your self portraits.

I have included links for references photo if you would like to practice.

You will turn in the notes to Canvas

Each portrait will be 5 X7 inches

Criteria:

• One of the portrait must be realistic

• One portrait is influenced (NOT COPYING) a contemporary artist

• Predominantly use a dry medium (pencil, ink/pen, color pencil, charcoal)

• Framed (after winter break)

• Portrait is expressive/dynamic

• Self-reflection (last day of the semester)
