LLVS online  learners, parents, and district advisors spent the afternoon together celebrating the end of the school year. Learners were able to connect over lunch, ice cream, and outdoor games.


March 2023


Middle Creek Wildlife.mp4

LLVS Online Learners spent the morning at Middle Creeks interactive visitor center. Learners were able to see a mammal program in the auditorium where various animal pellets were displayed and described. Learners were also able to participate in a scavenger hunt which took them around the visitors center with a variety of clues helping them engage with the content in the visitor’s center. Learners ended the day with an Original DUCKumentary in in Middle Creeks auditorium

Making Maple syrup.mp4

Lancaster County Department of Parks and Recreation’s Lisa Sanchez shared with our online learners all about Making Maple Syrup. This program taught learners all about the history of making maple syrup. Students learned how to identify sugar maple trees, how to tap them, collect the sap and turn it into syrup.

Lancaster County Department of Parks and Recreation’s Lisa Sanchez shared with our online learners all about the Science and Art of Snow.  Students were able to explore the different types of snow and snowflakes while learning all about Wilson Bentley also known as Snowflake Bentley. Students were able to learn new ways to observe and even make snowflakes on their own at home.
