Taskforce Overview
The IU1 Return to School Taskforce was created to assist IU1 districts in planning for the return to school in the Fall of 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The Taskforce will provide options to consider while planning for the 2020-2021 school year.
Despite the disruption to education during the COVID-19 pandemic, the pandemic also provides an opportunity for school districts to transform how they approach teaching and learning and shift "traditional" education mindsets. This is the education community's moment to make decisions for the fall of 2020 that may potentially impact many generations of future learners and become our new "normal".
The resources found on this site are meant to open mindsets and expand "traditional" educational thinking as schools plan for reopening in the fall of 2020.
