Last semester, I took a Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience course that dove in to clinical applications of the material as well. For my Honors Contract, I completed a presentation to the class on a rare disease known as Liseencephaly and reported a clinical case study found in an academic journal. This project heightened my intrigue of clinical correlations of neurological knowledge and supported my growth in this field of study. In doing this project, I practiced a multitude of skillsets including: communication, research, and presentation. I read through a variety of scientific literature, sorted through the necessary and unnecessary conmponents, and combind my findings into a cohesive presentation that followed the level of the course.Â
