Diversity Statement

I am committed to promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice in higher education. Fostering a diverse and an inclusive community provides students with a broad range of ideas in the classroom, introduces them to communities that might be outside of their normal groups, and helps everyone feel more included. 

I recognizing that diversity is a wide category that includes race, gender, identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability, ethnicity, age, and socioeconomic status and want to create an online space with dignity and respect for all groups.
