Above:
Likert scale like slider coded using HTML Bootstrap code embedded into google sites
Put in preview mode to use the slider
Right now it only has 3 images but we can add more if needed
Any text can go where the "Current Image: " text is or be in the images
I used IU colors Crimson red and black in the slider
The Images and text are just fillers they can be replaced by the images and text that are needed
Very customizable so the slider and slider thumb shape/color can all be changed
Click on edit to see the code
Is this more what we are looking for?
Likert Scale ideation: Let's move toward something that functions a little like the visual below.
We'll only have 3 AREAS: Foundational, Optimized, and Elite
The Likert isn't for "testing" nor assessment purposes. Instead, it'll be an interactive visual with three examples [or three areas below that link out to more examples]
Does this make sense for a starting point? Yes, Thank you!!
Likert Scale ideation:
Enneagram Personality Test - https://www.truity.com/test/enneagram-personality-test
This is a personality test that gives the test taker a statement and presents them with a 5-point Likert scale to give feedback on how accurate the statement is to them.
I liked the 5-point Likert scale because it can make data easier to comprehend with a large sample group.
I like how simplistic the design is because it makes it less distracting and overwhelming for the test taker.
I also liked how this scale gave the test taker the option of neutrality in the middle.
16 Personalities Test - https://www.16personalities.com/free-personality-test?gclid=CjwKCAjwqZSlBhBwEiwAfoZUIMbAW3i-369xoe6pGArm_ryI2--XuMkmsB5T5c5XeRvZXCGaNfUQ2hoCXEoQAvD_BwE
This is also a personality test that gives the test taker a statement, however, this test presents them with a 7-point Likert scale to give feedback on how accurate the statement is to them.
I liked the 7-point Likert scale because it can give better data distribution with a smaller sample group.
I like how this scale allows the user to get more precise with their answer choices since there are more options which is better for research purposes.
This scale also gave the test taker the option of neutrality in the middle, plus 2 added options on either side of the neutral option.
HappyOrNot Smiley's Customer Feedback Survey https://www.happy-or-not.com/en/solution/?gad=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwqZSlBhBwEiwAfoZUINg0CkgtcNQjLv5Og4QiIJv0VrzNJ2md6zNTN8q1CdhSKWOiz3PK4hoCOgQQAvD_BwE
This is a company that provides a range of feedback terminals to businesses to receive customer feedback through a 4-point Likert scale.
This scale does not have an option for neutrality which forces the test taker to take a side which may lead to more accurate data as some people just choose the neutral option because they don't care about the test.
I like how this survey provides the survey taker with visuals of the smiley faces because it grabs their attention and helps them visualize how they feel about the product.
I like the color usage with green representing positive and red representing negative.
True/False Quiz https://global.oup.com/us/companion.websites/9780195383157/student/chapter2/quizzes/tf_quiz/
Asks the test taker whether the given statement is true or false with a 2-point Likert scale.
The few options work better when there is more variance in the sample and more choices may lead to potentially misleading variation.
Works best when the question is factually based rather than opinion.
A template for an online customer feedback form showcasing a 10-point Likert scale.
I like the variety of options as it can help us get more precise answers.
I like the interactiveness of how each option turns a different color as you hover your mouse over it and the overall professional look of this scale.
I like how you can pick a neutral choice in the middle.
PowerPoint Likert example [near the bottom of this page] that includes examples

I can imaging the Likert sliding left to right and the colored example underneath being identified [a color shift?] as the Likert Scale moved left to right.

Maybe even a series of Likerts that created some sort of overall commentary on entry level, mid, and elite PBL?
