Genetics Lab Honors Contract

SUMMARY

For this assignment, I researched Dr. J Marion Sims and his work. On top of researching Dr. Sims, I defined important variables such as racism, race, injustice, and eugenics and the correlation between them all the Dr. Sims work. After defining and relating the subjects, I brought in present-day examples of COVID-19 and how structural racism was heightened because of this. I then described how minority groups groups were effected by racism and how that can potentially cause a barrier for these groups of individuals to have access to genetic testing and technologies.
