In my padlet, I researched the disease C. Diff colitis, which is caused by an overgrowth of the spore forming bacteria Clostridioides difficile. This condition is known to spread from person to person through contact with poop. Though, the spores are known to survive on counter tops, other surfaces, or soil for times ranging from months to years. Healthy individuals are usually not prone to getting sick but individuals with weakened immune systems or have been taking antibiotics are more at risk.
