Collage of traits
My current strengths as a team member include my communication capabilities, independence working on tasks, and critical problem solving. Over the course of the year, I worked on various programs assisting with data-entry, video editing, and outreach opportunities for the sessions. These current skills I have learned are now being implemented into one specific program that I am working with, the Indiana Communities Advancing Recovery Efforts, or IN CAREs, program.
With the IN CAREs program, I still participate in video-editing and uploading, data-entry with attendance, participation analysis, and newly, notetaking for the sessions. My initial role and tasks working with other ECHO sessions have shown proficiency, so now I am more centered with one program under ECHO.
When on my journey to reach optimum professionalism, I would like to gain various transferable skills, such as networking, and overcome personal barriers such as my anxiety. These components associated with professionalism seem like a good starting place when excelling in my future career as a Physician's Assistant. Networking, one of the many skills I would like to obtain, seems like an essential skill to be well versed in. When networking, I could have the opportunity to better connect with patients or even speak with reputable experts regarding treatment regimens and clarifying questions I may have in the future.
As I go through my internship, I have gained some networking skills, my communication has been more effective, and I have curved much of my anxiety. For example, during ECHO sessions we are supposed to engage or at least have our cameras on for the zoom meeting. I would have trouble following direction during meetings and leave my camera off. Not out of pure defiance but anxiety surrounding etiquette via Zoom and things of that nature. I had a conversation with my day-to-day supervisors, and we came up with a solution to help alleviate some of the anxiousness I was experiencing. Moving forward I would like to continue growing and learning more transferable skills as well as any applicable technical skills that will benefit me in life.

Again, as I progressed throughout the year, I was tasked to work on the specific program named IN CAREs.
While assisting with IN CAREs, my duties were as followed: edit-recorded content, quality check recordings, notate important information and upload to our Canvas page, and monitor discussion board communication and report any concerns to the program management specialist. These efforts were crucial for the program because the participants often relay information from the notes that were saved from the session as well as the recorded videos. I needed an eye for detail with this information because I would be at fault if a mistake in the notes causes someone to receive misinformation or be led astray.
Overall, my duties are relevant and important to the program management specialist as well as the attendees.
