For centuries, we have been thought to be alone in the universe and almost gave up on the search for other beings like us, but after Earth received a transmission from space for the first time in the history of Man, it gave humanity hope for a more promising future. Through diplomacy, just maybe Earthlings could work with the known alien lifeforms so we could benefit each other's economies and ways of life. However, their intentions were not the same as Earth's. They intended to settle and make whatever they found their own property now. They only kept expanding at rates Earth couldn't keep up with. Humans are now forced to watch the experimental perfect world they tried to create fall before them.
The Stasis Tube - Containing the artificial human the robots are looking after.
Control Desk - Controls/activates most functions for the Stasis Tube (water levels/temperature, growth, genetic features, etc.) Also controls Holo-Display and Life Support
Holo-Display/Life Monitor - Displays current life status of the human and allows for a 3D viewable holographic model of the human and her features without removing her from the tube.
Equipment Desk - Has any tools needed to fix anything within the Research Lab whether it be external or internal. Used mostly for fixing any obscurities with the stasis tube itself.
Life Support - Connected to the Stasis Tube itself. Main machinery that is keeping the human alive and habilitated. Controls what is needed, such as oxygen, for her to survive in the tank.
Pile of Boxes - Will be full of miscellaneous things that aren't important to the player. Mostly there for the player to hide behind, representation of storage, and a pathway for one of the robots.
Vents - This will act as secret entry points for the player so they aren't seen by the robot and can be entered by any other vent in another area.
Robots - One will stay mostly at the Control Desk occasionally going up directly to the Stasis Tube while the other moves between the Holo-Display, Equipment Desk, and the Pile of Boxes.
Workshop -
Supply Closet -
Waste Disposal -

Player will be able to run and walk. Because of how small they are, there movements will seem faster than usual, but is an average speed in comparison to the size of the rooms. The player will use the run mechanic to get to places faster without being seen, or to escape a robot who is already chasing them. We've talked about possible moving platforms in the future for the player to jump on and fall off of, but the details and reality of this mechanic is still being discussed with the change to a first-person perspective.
The player's movements will consist of walking through various rooms by walking through the front entrance, or entering through one of the many vents spread out in each room. The player will not have to travel through each vent. Instead, if they enter, they will be teleported immediately. Player will move through each day by starting off in the same location each time. No matter where the player is, the day will end when the time comes.
The technology of Breach of Space is much more advanced than our technology today, however it has gone backwards in its design, favoring simplistic 70's industrial aesthetics. The technology appears bulky and rudimentary, but is in fact hyper advanced. The colony favors technology that is low-tech for the century but is high-tech for our standards. They prefer this type of tech due to its simplicity to fix when compared to other more highly advanced technology that might be used closer to earth.
