Moving away from last semester, with a strong foundation set in place for the game's core, our main focuses for the future of the project center around progression and expansion. From an expansion standpoint, the number of areas available to the player, as well as the number of locations that can be sabotaged being increased will be some of our main priorities. Mechanically, adding a soft failure that would put the player on the defensive, as well as adding more intricate sabotages (such as sabotaging a station remotely) are in the planning stages. Furthermore, on the topic of progression, ramping up the implementation of the narrative we currently have in very light form will provide more engagement into the world of the game. Additionally, adding more obstacles for the player to overcome (such as progressive stage hazards as well as increased amounts and types of foes) will create a smoothly increasing sense of difficulty as the game progresses.
