"Recycle Your Cell Phone to Save the Planet" aims to raise awareness among students about the importance of proper disposal and recycling of cell phone materials. Through a multidisciplinary approach, focused on analyzing the environmental, social, and economic issues that lie behind the production and use of these technological devices, students are encouraged to reflect on the circular economy, inequality among peoples, and the limited availability of natural resources.

The project's content can be adapted to suit middle school students.

GOALS

Assess one's own WEEE ecological footprint
Stimulate deep reflection on the value of giving and its importance as a gesture of solidarity towards those in need
Explore Goals 10 and 12 of the 2030 Agenda
Become aware that individual actions can have a positive impact on the community
Develop the ability to make informed purchases
Reflect on the preservation and conservation of certain natural habitats in which the extraction of minerals used to build a cell phone occurs
Improve communication skills and interaction with peers and other school communities
Learning to recycle in everyday life helps protect and sustain all living beings
