4th and last mobility
Between the 27th and the 2nd of April 2022, nine students aged 16-18 and two teachers, Ms Adriana Giugno and Ms Roberta Cacciapuoti, took part in the fourth and last mobility of the project in Budapest, Hungary, hosted by the school ‘BGSZC Peterszébeti Technikum’. Monday and Wednesday morning were spent at school, where students were engaged in different tasks related to the topic of the project. They visited the school premises, the sport facilities both inside the building and outdoors, the dance classroom, the canteen. Some more activities were carried out outside the school, at the National Library (where students could get a closer look at the Renaissance Books in the Bibliotheca Corviniana) and at the Museum of Fine Arts (where they could also admire artworks related to Matthias Corvinus’s reign). The remaining days were dedicated to the places in Budapest that are somehow related to King Matthias. During the sightseeing trips, students could interact with one another, they were sometimes divided into mixed groups with students from different countries to perform the tasks required. The school coordinator of the project, Ms Erika Pleszel, was always with us, providing helpful advice throughout the week. On Friday, a one-day trip to Lake Balaton was organized, with a stop in Székesfehérvár, once capital of Hungary, where Hungarian kings were crowned and buried. This final mobility was the ideal and worthy ending of the project, as it perfectly combined topic-related places of historical interest and group work activities.
