3E project
Work on weaving and reuse of materials
After the Erasmus experience, we artistic students began working on a project with a clear and expressive title: ''Intertwine'', which symbolizes the union and mixing of the cultures and lifestyles that have been intertwined on this journey: the Italian one and the Duch one.
We guys at 3E, the figurative art section, have experimented with various weaving techniques, in order to become curious and experts in this wonderful art.
In particular we tried the technique of crochet, loom, macramè, and techniques to create chair seats and baskets.
The materials we used are: threads (wool, twine, elastic thread, mouòinèt cotton...) and branches (white and red willow, olive...) and we worked them with crochet hooks, needles, looms or by hand.
This type of project is closely linked to reuse and recycling because the materials and tools used to work were all waste and the branches come from pruning the plants and were therefore obtained without the need to kill them.
3C project
Intertwining the seat of a chair
Our project stems from the fusion of two ideas: the Erasmus intertwining and the Venice Biennale.
We got divided in 5 groups and rom the words "adventure" and "intertwining", each group chose a word to connect to it.
Sketchbooks
In this exchange week all students from the artistic section, both figurative arts and architecture, were asked to draw on a sketchbook their own experience in the Netherlands. Here we have an example of this work by Sofia Bogni from 3 E.
