Many resources exist that document and interpret the community histories of Japanese Americans in Idaho and the Intermountain West. One of the objectives of this project is to promote awareness of these materials to facilitate future research. These include published books and articles, archival collections in libraries of all sizes, and a record of newspaper articles since the late-19th century. Please explore the links below to learn more.
Members of this research project helped to complete the inventory and finding aid for the JACL Collection at ISU Oboler Library Special Collections. The links to the full record of those materials, and other relevant archival collections, are below. We built a shared bibliography using Zotero, which allows for continual updates and additions. Please send questions and suggested additions to project director, Professor Kevin Marsh, marskevi@isu.edu.
