Weaving Knowledge, Bridging Cultures:
Teacher Librarians Cultivating Inquiry and Diverse Narratives
WELCOME
Welcome to the Librarian Knowledge Sharing Workshop (LKSW) 2025, hosted at the International School of Phnom Penh!
This year’s theme invites us to celebrate the ways Library leaders connect communities, ideas, and stories. We weave knowledge through collaboration, bridge cultures through shared understanding, and nurture inquiry that empowers our students to explore the world with curiosity and empathy.
Over the next few days, you’ll have the chance to exchange insights, discover innovative practices, and strengthen our professional network of library leaders. We hope LKSW 2025 inspires you to return to your schools with fresh ideas, new connections, and renewed energy for the meaningful work you do every day.
Here’s to three days of learning, laughter, and the joy of shared stories.
With appreciation

The ISPP Story: From Humble Beginnings to Global Learning
The statues in our school to respect Khmer culture and our host country
It all began in 1989, when a few dedicated parents and six young learners gathered in a Phnom Penh living room with one teacher and a big dream. From those humble beginnings, ISPP quickly grew into a vibrant international school built on community spirit, curiosity, and care.
By the late 1990s, ISPP had achieved full international accreditation which is a first in Cambodia, and joined the International Baccalaureate (IB) family, offering the PYP, MYP, and DP programmes that continue to shape learning today.
In 2014, ISPP celebrated 25 years of growth and moved to its beautiful purpose-built campus—designed to inspire creativity, collaboration, and global-minded learning.
Now, more than three decades later, ISPP stands as Cambodia’s leading international school—still guided by the same founding values of excellence, inclusivity, and connection that started it all.

Flavours of Cambodia — Don’t miss amok trey (steamed fish curry), num banh chok (Khmer noodles), or a tropical fruit smoothie from a street vendor.
Standing Tall for Freedom — The Independence Monument, shaped like a lotus blossom, commemorates Cambodia’s independence from France in 1953. It’s beautifully lit at night and stands as one of the city’s most photographed landmarks. It is also the inspiration for ISPP logo.
