Course Description
Upcycling Lisbon is an opportunity to connect deeply with a community of changemakers in the Portuguese capital of Lisbon. Work alongside local community members at a communal skatepark on an innovative upcycling project. Collaborating with community organizations and disadvantaged youth, students will gather and upcycle material to create skateboards and support local skateparks helping with social integration and awareness related to single-use plastics. Students will also have the opportunity to engage in coastal activities which may include coasteering, surfing, clifftop hikes and a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage city of Sintra and Arrabida National Park.
