The primary purpose of WWW is to provide a unique learning opportunity that is otherwise not possible in the daily classroom. It is an opportunity for students to build friendships, develop self awareness and self management skills, travel to locations outside of school and participate in activity-based programmes.
Students in Grades 9 through 12 will mix together and choose from various activities both within the Czech Republic and outside of the country. All activities will be chaperoned and led by Upper School teachers and administrators. In addition, we have hired guides and trainers for some of the trips.
Trip costs vary from low to high, depending on the type of programme chosen. For some programmes, students will need to bring cash for food (lunch and dinner) and, if applicable, public transport tickets for traveling within Prague on the trip.
These programmes are often a highlight of our students’ Upper School years and an excellent educational experience. We consider these programmes to be an integral part of our students’ educations and, thus, require that every student attends one of the activities offered. If your child has a religious or medical reason that prevents them from participating in the Week Without Walls programme, please get in touch with the Upper School principal at your earliest convenience.
Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact WWW coordinators Mr. Matt Eames (meames@isp.cz) and Ms. Raina Smith (rsmith@isp.cz) or the Upper School Principal, Dr. Sturm, at esturm@isp.cz.
With best regards,
ISP
