ABOUT GATE
The Global Art Teachers Exchange (GATE) was formed in 2018 as an avenue to provide relevant, practical, and affordable professional development specifically for visual arts educators. Each year, a different school hosts this independently organized and funded event with the aim of enriching our practice and connecting through what we love...making and teaching art. The Exchange is not for profit.
Our ethos is all about sharing best visual arts practices through collaboration. The success of the Exchange depends on 100% participation of the attendees. Art teachers are encouraged to lead workshops, facilitate job-alikes and forum discussions, and share teaching resources. Workshops are designed to be practical, hands-on, and with direct application to the art room from PreK through High School.
Visit the GATE Website for more information.

ABOUT THE LOGO
Each of our logo iterations reflects an iconic part of Czech culture — from the timeless Astronomical Clock and beloved Večerníček with the Little Mole, to the playful and thought-provoking works of David Černý, and the enduring symbol of the Czech Lion.
These images remind us that GATE is more than an exchange: it’s a space where educators connect, learn, and share ideas, while also immersing themselves in the local culture and creative spirit. From historical marvels to contemporary art, every symbol tells a story — of innovation, imagination, and cultural pride.
At GATE, you’re not just attending sessions; you’re engaging in a cultural exchange that inspires, sparks curiosity, and leaves a lasting impression.
