About Us
Asalamu Alaikum!
ISGR is a full-time Islamic school currently offering schooling at the preschool, kindergarten, first grade and second grade levels to the Muslim community in the Grand Rapids metro and surrounding areas. We plan to add a grade level every year, InshAllah, pending student enrollment and availability of resources, until 5th grade.

Staff
Principal: Sister Lynn Smith holds her master's degree in curriculum and instruction from Doane University. With over 20 years as a certified teacher, she comes to ISGR with a passion for merging her love of the deen with her pedagogical expertise.
Head Classroom Teacher: Sister Lilah Sharaf earned her master's degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Connecticut. As a certified teacher, Sister Lilah has taught in both public and private Islamic schools from Massachusetts and Connecticut to New Mexico.
Classroom Aide: Sister Inayah Hakeem is the granddaughter of beloved brother Kamal Nuriddin. Sr. Inayah is currently a student at GRCC.
Classroom Aide: Sister Manal Alsaidi is an experienced teacher and long time member of our community.
Quran/Arabic Instruction: Sr. Lujane Hafiz is an experienced teacher and ISGR mom who teaches our Arabic and Quran classes.
