What is it?
Students need to prepare a 3-5 minute original oratory speech on a topic of their choosing.
Students need to prepare and present a compelling speech of persuasive nature.
The speech can point out a problem and could present a solution or may simply point out a potential issue or struggle.
Students will compete on the afternoons of Monday (prelims), Tuesday (semi-finals), and Wednesday (finals), May 19-21, 2025.
Any student from any school in grades 6 to 8 (or the equivalent years for students typically aged 11 to 14) can enter. Entry is free.
The highest ranking participant will be invited to perform their speech on Friday, May 23, 2025, during the festival celebration performance in the Melawati theatre on campus.
