Chalk Art Competition

Students will need to register in groups of 2-4 between March 3, 2025 and April 7, 2025. 

Any middle school student can enter.

Students will be assigned a piece of MS walkway where they will create a piece of pavement art using chalk. 

They will have four afternoons, May 14-19, 2025, to dedicate themselves to the creation of the artwork. 

On May 14, 2025 students will be introduced to the process by a guest visual artist.

On May 20, 2025, the artwork will be judged. Criteria can be viewed below.

Results will be announced on Friday, May 23, 2025, during the festival celebration performance in the Melawati theatre.
