The checklist is an ongoing development of what is expected in all investigations that are submitted unless otherwise stated. The list helps to ensure that students are not missing any parts of any
These templates are some options of what students could use but do not have to as they could follow their own format as long as students ensure they have included the content needed.
RISK ASSESSMENTS
Risk Assessment for Lab Investigations
Simple Risk Assessment for Science Investigation (start to get familiar with risk assessments)
There are a number of ways to make a graph and chart. Depending on the data collected and the calculations needed you can graph in a variety of ways. Please use the presentation attached to remind you of how to do so.
The criterion is from the Middle Years Program of the International Baccalaureate program. Though the numbers on the specifically linked criterion have been removed from all the rubrics as the development of skills as well as the utilisation of the feedback provided from any type of assessment is far more important.
Below you will find the command terms that are seen throughout the science criterion. This is how the different strands are evaluated and compared.
The process journal is where students write down the Daily Challenge on arrival to class. This has taken many form in the past, we have moved to student e-portfolios (websites) which they use for a few years and in different subjects. It is also where students can link additional work, take notes, reflect on their learning, or complete additional work that is later easily accessible by the teacher. It is a central location that every student has access to their own from the start of the academic year.
