Students are given the opportunity to take the information from throughout the year and make a prediction on the evolutionary path of any organism. Identifying the organism today and applying adaptations and mutations in order for the organism to survive an environment that exists in 100 million years.

Students tend to struggle going from grade 8 to grade 9 with seeing a "test" which they need to complete in a set amount of time. So in preparing for this we take an additional look at the Criterion and specifically look at the MYP 4&5 (grade 9 & 10). We then take the knowledge from this unit and students design specific questions for each strand of the criterion. The questions are then accumulated and an assessment is designed based on student questions.
