Variation and Classification
Understanding Organisms and how we have classified them scientifically. Done through interactive slides of Peardeck. Students get emailed a take away at the end of the slides.
After an introduction to structure and function and doing an example together students begin investigating different organisms and their structure and function. This is the lead up to the student learning on adaptation vs. mutation.
Introduction activity to Unit 3. Students watch a film analysing what evolutionary paths some creatures could take along the way of the changing earth. This is important because based on our year of learning student will complete an assessment evolving their own organism of the future.
Making a Review of Unit Content
Students are expected to complete a Criterion A Assessment at the end of this unit. To learn different techniques and try different strategies for studying students are expected to complete a mini review.
