This video will take students through understanding the equivalence of fractions. Students should take notes along with the video.

This video will walk through how to reduce and simplify fractions. Students should take notes along with the video.

This video will walk students through how to convert between the equivalent forms of mixed and improper fractions. Students should take notes along with the video.

Practice it: Option 1

The teacher should provide students with this document and have students identify all the equivalent fractions.

They should then select one set of equivalence to make a poster for. They can include the equivalent fractions, visuals, number sentences, number lines, etc.

This could be created on paper or digitally.

Practice it: Option 2

This game will have students matching visual and numeric equivalent fractions.

There are multiple levels that relate different aspects of fractions (i.e. same numerators but different denominators).

There are more than 8 levels, each level has 5 equivalent fractions represented three ways.

This online game can be played with one or two players.
