*Below are links to past trainings presented by the H.E.L.P. Team this school year. While you can no longer earn a CEU (this could only be earned if you attending in person the day the training was offered), you can use the information in the trainings as a resource for your classroom.
Tech Tune Up--This training focuses on learning about the new 25-26 Google classroom features, how to create with Canva, and implementing online games for learning.
Positive Behavior Intervention: minogi'aawaso--This training covers how the Circle of Courage approach uses students’ strengths to create a safe, brain-friendly classroom to break the cycle of conflict.
History of the Ojibwe in Minnesota and Ongoing Contributions--This training increases educator's knowledge of the history and contemporary presence of the Ojibwe people in Minnesota.
AI Your Accommodations and Modifications Assistant--This training helps educators understand accommodations and modifications in the general ed setting as well as how to use Google’s Gemini AI to refine these supports.
ELA k-12: new curriculkum alignment and collaboration -- This PD provided space for support in implementing new curriculum programs, including UFLI, Lucky to Learn Writing, Functional Morphology, EL Learning, and novel-based units.
Onescreen & You -- This panel discussion provided opportunities to hear from fellow teachers in a relaxed discussion about simple workflows, time-saving tricks, and what we’ve learned the hard way.
Exploring the Possibilities-AI as a student used accommodation. This PD looks at how colleges are using AI for student driven accommodations, what the concerns are, and explores Goblin.tools as an AI accommodation.
Ojibwe Star Knowledge: Indigenous Astronomy. This PD was all about Ojibwe star knowledge and Indigenous perspectives on astronomy. Grade-level Learning activities can be found HERE.
Fastbridge Requested Questions: This PD went over three staff requested Fastbridge questions--explaining Fastbridge results clearly to families, interpreting growth vs proficiency, and translating Fastbridge results into daily classroom instruction.
STEAM and Cukture Cohort: Maple Syrup roundtable: This was a roundtable discussion to help educators will make connections between maple syrup processing and science standards, share ideas, and leave with practical strategies and increased confidence for classroom implementation.
