Coaches & Captains

Head Coach - Daniel Gerber.  This is Coach Gerber's 8th season as Head Coach.  He also serves as an Boy's Head Track & Field Coach at Simley, but focuses on coaching middle and distance runners for both squads.  Coach Gerber teaches Social Studies & AVID at Simley.  He previously coached at Maple Grove and Augsburg College (now University).  He ran for Wayzata High School and Augsburg.

Assistant Coach - Cally Simanski. Coach Simanski joins us again for 2023 for her 4th year as an Assistant Coach. She teaches Math at Simley. She previously coached in Princeton and Becker MN and ran for Red Wing High School and Luther College.

Assistant Coach - Kate Brown. Coach Kate joins us for the 2023 season in her 2nd season as an Assistant Coach. Coach Kate works in Neuro-Physical Therapy in Stillwater and has a doctorate from the University of Minnesota in that field. Coach Kate has been coached and provided individual training plans to runners since graduating from St. Olaf College, where she ran Cross Country and Track & Field for the Oles. Coach Kate ran for Marshalltown, IA in High School. Coach Kate also serves as an assistant coach with the Simley Track & Field Teams.
