In this MYP year one accessory design project, students will explore using simple construction methods to create unique and personalized accessories that can be worn or added to an item they own. Using 3D printing technology, students will design and print their pendants or charms, decorations, etc... which will then incorporate into their final pieces.
Throughout the project, students will focus on learning design principles of form, including shape, form, and texture, and how they can use them to create a cohesive and visually appealing final product. They will also learn about 3D printing and how to use it to create their designs.
The final project will consist of an accessory piece that showcases the students' understanding of design principles and their ability to use 3D printing technology to create an original accessory. This project is suitable for a grade 6 MYP year 1, and it will be challenging and fun, allowing students to express their creativity while also learning valuable design and technology skills.
