Erik Lutley
ISB Secondary School Principal
Dear Secondary Families,
I am delighted to extend a warm welcome to all members of the International School of Belgrade's Secondary School community. As we embark on a new chapter together, I am honored to introduce myself as Erik, your Secondary School Principal for the academic year ahead.
A citizen of the world, I was born and raised in Iceland by American parents, and for over two decades, have called Poland my home, holding citizenships from each of these countries. My journey in international education began in Krakow, Poland and over the last twenty years, I have had the privilege of serving as the Secondary School Principal there and here at ISB.
Throughout my career, I have garnered valuable experiences in leading change, developing learning processes, and fostering a strong sense of community. Engaged in accreditation cycles, teacher supervision and evaluation, and student feedback processes, I bring a commitment to positive collaboration and unified vision.
I describe myself as a good listener who believes in assuming positive intent, focused on finding solutions and building a common purpose. My approach to education involves recruiting highly qualified teachers while also nurturing the talent of our young, "home-grown" educators. I have learned that a blend of humor, wisdom, and openness to listening is the key to fostering a thriving school environment.
I am excited to be part of the ISB community and look forward to working collaboratively with all stakeholders to create a positive and enriching environment for our students. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions, concerns, or suggestions. Here's to a successful and fulfilling academic year at the International School of Belgrade!
Warm regards,
Erik
