Students who persist in not following the school dress code may be asked to return home to change and parents informed.
Students must wear regular school uniform in
All secondary students should wear black footwear. Please note that flips flops, large platforms or high-heeled shoes are not appropriate for school. They are dangerous in wet or humid weather and the school can take no responsibility for any accidents that occur due to unsuitable footwear.
Hair styles should be conservative and hair colour must be of a natural shade. For safety reasons, students with long hair are required to have it tied back for practical subjects e.g Science or PE.
Only natural looking make-up is permitted in school. Any student wearing bright colours on the face, including eye-shadow and lipstick will be asked to remove this. Only discreet and natural looking nail colour is permitted.
Only stud earrings, necklaces, rings and bracelets are permitted, and they should be discreet, unobtrusive, safe and appropriate. Eyebrow or lip jewellery must be removed.
If students are unable to attend school in the correct uniform, they must bring a note signed by a parent or guardian explaining the reason, or a parent may email the student's Tutor or Advisor.
The school uniform must be worn appropriately and should not be modified. Skort length should not be shorter than mid-thigh.
When wearing non-school uniform in school (on special days), students should be appropriate for an academic setting. Please note these guidelines:
No items with rude or inappropriate/offensive graphics and writing
No cropped, short, "tank" tops, spaghetti straps, low necklines or anything that may be regarded as immodest
No exposed/revealing underwear
Skirt length must touch the knee and shorts should be mid-thigh
Jeans that are not too sloppy or tattered (This specifically includes torn, ripped, patched, wide bottomed or generally scruffy jeans. Overly tight or baggy trousers are unacceptable)
