At Jack E. Singley Academy, our role as school counselors is to advocate for students academically, provide social/emotional support, and assist them in navigating their post-secondary goals. We provide a comprehensive program that focuses on the needs of the student to ensure that they can make the most of their educational experience.
The Singley Academy counseling team is composed of professional school counselors who advocate for students’ academic success and social/emotional wellbeing. We collaborate with our administrative team to develop data driven programs that support our staff, students, and families. Examples include staff developments to help our teachers be better equipped to support our students’ social emotional needs; coordinate with local police and community college to provide parent information sessions. We guide and coordinate campus decisions regarding CCMR, we facilitate 504 and advocate for our students by participating in attendance meetings, ARD meetings and GT committee meetings.
