Committee members selected
Commitee meets to discuss which courses will need adopted materials
Course list of IISD CTE subjects designated in Proc 2024
Committee will review vendor samples provided on the TEA website.
November
Vendor selection for in-person review due by ovember 10
Learning Resources will coordinate the in-person review with vendors
Learning Resources will request any needed print samples
Committee members will create rubrics
Learning Resources will share rubric(s) with vendors
December
Reviews
The review of instructional materials with vendors will take place
Committee will evaluate each vendor’s presentation and samples
Note: The closed period begins after the presentations conclude and will run through the final selection in the spring. Vendors/Publishers are allowed to contact only administration (Judy Boone, Zach Moore, and Nick Gleicher)
Note: TEA announces state-approved instructional resources for Proc 2024
January
The committee will complete and submit the evaluation rubric and determine finalists by January 12, 2024.
Note: January 23 Region 10 Vendor showcase can be attended by committee members but the first review has already occurred
Mid-January/Early February
Instructional Materials finalists on display for public/ teacher review the evening of January 29 and materials will be made available online for a period of one month.
Rubrics/Surveys posted for public input
Presentation of data for DIC
Mid-February Teacher votes due
Final selection(s) is made
Learning Resources contacts the vendors
March/April
Learning Resources will prepare estimates for cost Proclamation 2024 (will need enrollment projections)
Prepare documents and materials for the Board
IMAT Decisions reviewed by the Board
March/April submit Board documents and present selections to the Board (not to exceed statement)
May (when EMAT reopens)
Order materials for the 2024-2025 school year
Late Summer
Provide online access to teachers for new instructional materials
July-August
Training opportunities for teachers
Receive new materials
Check student counts
Order additional materials as needed
Distribute new materials to campuses
