Math Facts

It is important that you are able to ADD, SUBTRACT, MULTIPLE, and DIVIDE from the numbers 1-10 WITHOUT a calculator. If you cannot, you need to practice. A great site to use is: webmathminute.com

Place Value

3 is the hundreds place.

4 is in the tens place.

6 is in the ones place.

1 is in the tenths place

5 is in the hundredths place.

7 is in the thousandths place.

8 is in the ten thousandths place.

Rounding

The Steps in Rounding:

1. Find the place you are rounding to.

2. Look at the number that comes AFTER your number.

3. If the number AFTER is 4 or below, you leave it alone.....If the number AFTER is 5 or above give it a shove UP.
