Parent Volunteers

The LMC actively recruits and trains many Peterson parents to assist in a variety of ways. Volunteers enable us to utilize the facility to its fullest extent. It is also an excellent way for parents to become involved in their child’s education. Volunteers are here to help keep the LMC organized and functioning to maximize its use. Here is what a typical day volunteering in the LMC might include:

• Shelving books
• Checking in books
• Preparing materials for circulation
• Assisting with data collection or entry
• Preparing displays/bulletin boards
• Helping with book fairs throughout the year
• Assisting students with locating specific areas of the LMC
• Working on special projects in LMC

No experience is required to volunteer in the LMC.
