• Fibers to Fabrics: Learn where our fabric comes from and the steps that it takes to get there. Explore a variety of different fabrics and experiment with color.
• Hand Sewing Basics: Learn the basics of hand sewing equipment and safety. Practice a variety of hand sewing stitches and how to sew on a button! End the unit by designing a square pin cushion project.
• Machine Sewing Basics: Learn how to use the sewing machine, including how to thread it and safety precautions.
• Sewing Construction Fundamentals: Practice using the sewing machine and hand sewing skills to create a variety of projects.
